Rochester District Visiting Nurse Association is currently recruiting new Volunteers for their Hospice program. A comprehensive Hospice Volunteer training program is scheduled to begin in the fall. This specialized care trains the volunteer to work successfully with the Hospice team.
Volunteers are a significant part of the Hospice Program providing support to patients and their families. Volunteers provide emotional support and friendship to patients and families who are dealing with a terminal illness. Volunteers also help out the families providing respite or any other help that may be needed.
For more information about how you can become a Hospice Volunteer, or to register for the fall training, call the Hospice Department at Rochester District VNA at 332-1133 and ask for Celeste or Jan.
