Crews continue to work to restore power and open roads affected by Tropical Storm Irene.
As of this morning, the following roads remain closed: Cushing Street, Abbott Street at Mt. Vernon, and Spur Road at Nute. According to Public Service of New Hampshire, about 2,500 Dover customers are still without power this morning. For more information about power outages, contact PSNH at 1-800-662-7764.
Please stay clear of any downed trees on power lines until utility crews can respond.
A request to conserve water has been lifted. Power has been restored to most City wells and water levels have returned to normal.
A temporary shelter has closed, but may reopen if needed. Residents in need of shelter are asked to call 742-4646.
Public showers are available to residents without power. The showers are located at the McConnell Center Recreation Department (enter door #3), Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Showers at the Dover Arena are also available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Recycling Center will be open additional days this week to accommodate storm debris. Regular hours of operation are: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additionally, this week, the Center will be open Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The hours of operation on the additional days will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

All Dover public schools now have power. However, an open house at Garrison Elementary School on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. has been postponed.
