DOVER – Garrison Players recently announced the beginning of a series of workshops. The first, under the direction of Debra Martuscello Wiley, a longtime member of the Seacoast theatre scene, is titled “Acting Without the Drama” and will be held weekly from October 9 to December 11 at 8 p.m. at the Garrison Players Arts Center, Route 4 in Rollinsford. This workshop for adults, with or without previous acting experience, will explore the many aspects of acting, including improv, auditioning, comedy, drama, monologues, and scene work. Cost is $180 per student, which is only $10 a class and payment arrangements are available.
Wiley previously directed the dark comedy, “Crimes of the Heart,” which was nominated for several NH Theatre awards, and has acted in “The Miracle Worker” and “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” for Garrison Players.
