HRCU Partners with the Monarch School of New England

Holy Rosary Credit Union recently partnered with The Monarch School of New England and will serve as a training site for students of the school.

The organization serves students with significant disabilities from ages 5 – 21, designing programs based on their individual needs and capabilities. Jordan Brown, a 16-year-old student at the school, is the first to take part in the program with HRCU in a partnership that began in March.

“Jordan is HRCU’s Ambassador and while he is learning new skills, he is also reminding us about diversity and acceptance. He shares his happy spirit and eagerness to please with all of us,” says Chris Patrowicz, VP of Human Resources at HRCU. “Jordan arrives by 10 a.m. proudly wearing his HRCU shirt and excited to be part of our team. Our employees look forward to his arrival and really enjoy his friendly nature.”

Brown’s duties include distributing mail to employees, collating and applying postage to daily outgoing mail and ensuring our employee lounge is clean and replenished with supplies.

The Monarch School of New England is rooted in the belief that each child deserves an environment in which they can flourish.  The students are seen for their abilities – for their capacity to learn and grow.

The school has a campus in Rochester serving students ages 5-14 and a location in Gonic that also includes a vocational program working with students ages 15-21. For more information about the Monarch School of New England, visit www.monarchschoolne.org.
