Fundraiser benefits officers in Greenland shooting
Community Undivided, a fundraiser to support the recovery of police officers involved in the Greenland shooting, will be held on Friday, May 11, from 5 to 10 p.m., at Rivermill at Dover Landing. Rivermill is located at 2 Washington St.

All proceeds from the event, which is organized by the Dover Police Association, will benefit the officers involved in the tragic incident. Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney was killed in the shooting and four officers were injured. Other officers were involved but not injured.

The Community Undivided fundraiser includes an evening of food, music, raffles, a silent auction, T-shirts and a cash bar. The cost of admission is $20. Advance tickets are not available.

Donations in lieu of attending are also accepted. Donations made payable to the Dover Police Association can be mailed to: Dover Police Association, PO Box 752, Dover, NH 03820.

Portion of Chestnut Street to close Monday
A portion of Chestnut Street will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 7, for work to remove light fixtures. The work is expected to last eight hours and will continue on Tuesday, May 8, if necessary.

The areas affected are as follows: Southbound traffic from First Street toward Washington Street is permitted but will be reduced to one lane. Northbound traffic from Washington Street toward First Street will be prohibited. Motorists will be diverted up and around the Cocheco Falls Millworks via Washington and Main streets to Third or Second streets.

Dancing with the Dover Stars DVD now available
Did you miss this year's Dancing with the Dover Stars, or just want to experience the excitement again?

DVDs of Dancing with the Dover Stars II are now available at the Dover Community Senior Center front desk or the Dover Recreation front desk during normal business hours. DVDs are $10 each and all proceeds benefit the Dover Community Senior Center.
