Seacoast Growers Assoc. - Farmer Market Every Wed at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center
Wednesday's 2:15 to 6 pm
550 Central Ave, Dover NH
Two market favorites are in high season
The seacoast markets are brimming with these two crowd pleasers, and you can't get them any more local than our farmers' markets - unless you grew them yourself.
In fact, among the recognizable tomatoes you expect at market, take a closer look for the heirlooms. Heirloom tomatoes are non-hybrid varieties of tomato that have been handed down through generations of growers.
Many of our growers spend the extra time and energy needed to nurse sometimes fickle heirloom tomatoes.
They have a surprising range of colors and flavors, which are two good reasons heirlooms are worth the tender touch. Explore the markets for unusual varieties like the Brandywine tomato - which is pink!
