The Dover Public Library is pleased to announce its 10th Annual Student Poetry contest for grades K-12. Kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school youths can find instructions for submitting an entry to the contest at the Dover Public Library, any Dover school library, or at our website: http://library.dover.nh.gov.
Poems will be judged on originality, style and creativity. Prizes will be awarded in six different categories: Grades K-2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, and 11 &12. Deadline for entry is April 18th. All participants are then invited to attend an “Evening of Poetry” on Tuesday, May 22nd at 6:30pm. Students are invited to read their poetry aloud at this event, but this will be purely voluntary.
