An Evening by the Sea

Dear Friends,

Breast Cancer Stories is very excited about an event we are in the process of planning for Sunday, August 19^th from 5-8pm at Wentworth by the Sea Country Club! An Evening by the Sea – a cocktail party that takes place overlooking the beautiful ocean side and features live music by Tim Janis – is a new fundraiser for our organization.  And we really need your assistance to make it spectacular … and successful.

Here are ways you can help:

SILENT AUCTION:  We will have a silent auction and we want it to be special and interesting.  Here are some examples of what we are looking for:

·         Tickets to a show, theater and/or sporting event

·         Autographed memorabilia

·         Handcrafted artwork – perhaps even something created (or a poem written) by a local patient

·         A dinner in someone’s home prepared by a local chef

·         Vacation items

·         Etc.

RAFFLE ITEMS:  We will also be preparing a boxed raffle “game” and we need a number of items for that as well.  This is different than our silent auction so the items may be of lesser value.

VOLUNTEERS:  We have a great group of volunteers helping us with this event … but we need a few more.
