Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire, the Daniel Webster Council Boy Scouts of America and Service Credit Union officials presented a $13,500 contribution to Portsmouth High School.
The donation was part of the proceeds from the 2011 Service Credit Union Boston-Portsmouth Air Show featuring the United States Air Force Thunderbirds.
Proceeds from the air show also helped support two organizations, Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire and the Daniel Webster Council Boy Scouts of America, as well as a multitude of other New Hampshire nonprofit organizations including Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“Service Credit Union was delighted to be the proud title sponsor of the 2011 Service Credit Union Boston Portsmouth Air Show at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease. As the title sponsor of this tremendous event, we are honored to take a leadership role in serving our communities,” says Karen Benedetti, Vice President of Marketing at Service Credit Union. “We take pride that we can help our local Portsmouth High School with some of the proceeds from the air show.”
Daniel Webster Council Boy Scouts of America Executive Director Mike Kauffman and Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire Executive Director Steve Wade, along with Benedetti, presented the check to Portsmouth High School Principal Jeffrey Collins during a Pease Development Authority meeting Thursday, November 17th. Collins said the donation would go toward wireless capabilities for the high school.
“The check presentation to Portsmouth High School is part of the organizations’ continuing commitment to produce an air show that not only supports their mission but also the great work of other not-for-profits and municipalities. The show raised over $337,000 for 46 local and state organizations, including the Boy Scouts and the Brain Injury Association,” said Kauffman.
Service Credit Union will also be the title sponsor for the 2012 Service Credit Union Boston Portsmouth Air Show featuring the United States Navy Blue Angels on June 30th and July 1st.
