Passport Agencies and acceptance facilities across the country will be holding this event on April 9th. Passport Day in the U.S.A. is an opportunity for citizens to apply for their U.S. Passports without an appointment at any of the Department of State Passport Agencies. Local acceptance facilities (such as Post Offices and County Clerk’s offices that accept passport applications on behalf of the Department of State) will be participating in this event as well. The goal is to provide a convenient opportunity for the American travelling public to apply for their passports ahead of the busy summer travel season.
The Department of State’s travel website http://www.travel.state.gov is an excellent resource for the public to obtain information about U.S. Passport fees and documentation requirements.
